Mini Curvy Keepsake Turkey Treat Box

Today's post is the third in the series of 4 Mini Curvy Keepsake Treat boxes I have for you and features the Turkey.  Thanksgiving will be here before we know it.  This is another easy project and I think it turned out really cute. I filled the box with 5 Hersey Kisses, but you could fill it with a variety of small candies or gifts.  The box is roughly 1 ¾” square when assembled.

If you'd like to make this project and need any supplies, just click on any of the supply item pictures below and it will take you to my online store. The die set used in this project won't be available until next Wednesday, September 4th.  If you don't already have a demonstrator and need a Holiday catalog, let me know and I'll be happy to send you one. I really appreciate the opportunity to earn your business and thank you for taking time to check out my blog.  If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.  Have a wonderful day!

Supplies/Measurements:
  • Mini Curvy Keepsakes Box Dies
  • Christmas Bulb Builder Punch
  • Four Petal Flower Punch or Perennial Flower Punch – I used the Four Petal
  • Crumb Cake Cardstock  - 5 ½” x 5 ½” - for box body & Scraps – roughly 2” x 3” for wings
  • Soft Suede Cardstock - Scraps – roughly 2” x 2” – for tail feathers
  • Real Red Cardstock - Scrap - tiny piece for the gobbler (that hangy thing under the chin)
  • Pumpkin Pie Cardstock - Scraps – roughly 2” x 2” – for tail feathers
  • Crushed Curry Cardstock - Scraps – roughly 2” x 3” – for tail feathers and beak
  • Cajun Craze Cardstock -  Scraps – roughly 2” x 2” – for tail feathers
  • Crumb Cake Classic Stampin' Pad
  • Googly Eyes (optional  - you could use white & black punches but googly eyes are oh so CUTE!)

Prep Instructions:

Die cut body using the Mini Curvy Keepsake Box dies out of Crumb Cake Cardstock
Punch:
·        Wings using the Four Petal Flower Punch – 2 pieces needed - out of Crumb Cake Cardstock
v  Cut into 4 petals, I rounded the edges where I cut – 3 sections needed for each wing
·        Tail Feathers using the Christmas Bulb Builder Punch
v  You will need 2-3 pieces (I punched 3 of each (12) and used 10 pieces for my tail) from each of the 4 colors plus an extra one from the Crushed Curry for the Beak
Cut out Gobbler out of Real Red.  I just free hand cut it
Sponge edges of all pieces, except the beak and gobbler pieces, with Crumb Cake Ink

5.      Assembly Instructions:
  •           Glue Googly Eyes, Beak and Gobbler to front section of box (If using as a treat holder, I found it easiest to get into the box if I attached the tail feathers to the flap closure section that is on top when closed)
  •          Glue 3 wing pieces to each side
  •          Glue Tail Feathers to back end, alternating the colors and layering until you like it
